I can't stress how much we appreciated that, as it's hard to have a house built when you can't just drop by and check on the progress yourself. Even though this wasn't our first home, it was our first build, and Debbi gave us tips and advice throughout the project. Contacted Chris just to say we are now beginning to look for a new home! Explained what we were looking for and the next day we drove down to Delaware because Chris had 5 homes set up for us to look at! I wanted to drop one from our list because on a site it said high flood risk. Chris said let me look into it before you take it off the list. An hour later he had contacted the development company, looked at fema maps and determined that was not the case! We looked at those 5 and the house I almost dropped from the list was the one we purchased and love! Had trouble with the sale of our house in NJ and Chris was able to get the builder to wait the extra month plus for us to close! Chris negotiated a better price from the original price and on the day of the final walk through Chris noticed and mentioned small issues I didn’t see before signing on the house! Deborah hung in there with us on a house hunt that took over a year to finally finish. We had multiple offers not be accepted, not because of Deborah but because we were not willing to waive inspections or guarantee above appraised value. Deb knew these were some of the areas we were not willing to compromise on and never pressured us to change our way of approaching the market. I do not know how many houses we looked at or how many breaks we took from looking but Deb was always there when we wanted to look at a new listing. In the end we got a house that was just right for us with no compromises and more that we expected. It still needs some work to make it ours but the bones are great.
